How to Disable/Enable USB Ports In Windows


Hello everyone. in this tutorial, i will show you how to disable or enable USB ports on your computer. I have tested this trick with Windows XP and Windows 7.

You think , why would you disable your USB port?
Sometimes, you may need to protect your computer from USB viruses, you know that in some simple steps you can turn your USB in a keylogger and it will get all the data that you type. Or if you have an internet cafe and you don’t want users to make your computers full with shortcut viruses.

This trick will help you so much So let's get start:-

Step1-In Windows 7  press Windows key+R and type as “regedit.



Step 2- It will open the Registry Editor of  your Windows 7.

Step 3- After opening Registry edit browse the following path in reght side bar of registry editor.
The Path to go: “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetServicesUSBSTOR”



Step4- Then right click the registry “Start” which is rectangled in red color.

Step5- Right Click “Start” and Click modify

To enable USB ports: change the value from “4? to “3?
To disable USB ports: change the Value for “3? to “4?

All Done, and don't forget to restart your computer.
